Days In The Life of A Cat
Saturday, Sept. 22, 2001 - Slept in this morning. Got up and ate, and used the litterbox. In the early afternoon I sat on the floor and watched the rats that Mom has in a little cage in the bedroom. I tried my best to get at them through the bars but I couldn't fit my hand in there. Got bored with that and took a long nap. Got up and ate again, chased my brother Wilson, cornered my brother Whiskey by the backdoor. Got bored with that and slept for a long time. Listened to the TV on the bed with Mom while I napped again, ate again, coughed up a hairball, used the litterbox. Walked downstairs to look out the window. Gosh, I'm really tired, it's been a long day. Goodnight everyone.
Sunday, Sept. 23, 2001 - Slept in again. Got up when I heard the cans opening. Ate a whole bunch, waited until Mom cleaned the litterbox, then did my duty there. I was really tired so I slept for a long time. Got up and tore up some more of that corner of the couch I'd been working on all week. Finally got some stuffing out. I was so tired then, had to sleep for a few hours. Cornered my brother Farley at the bottom of the stairs until Mom came to rescue him. Mom got out that pink feather thing and I pretended to have fun chasing it. She calls it a bird.......like I don't know any better. That's OK, she's having fun so I put up with it for a while. Mom went to the store and I checked out what was in the bag. There was some ice cream there. I sure hope Mom has some before going to sleep, I'm hungry for something sweet and cool. I'd better go hang around the bedroom area now, don't want to miss the ice cream.
